I HAVE to tell you. And you REALLY need to listen: God the Father Loves You! He truly cares. He’s interested in your pain, your future, your dreams. You have made many mistakes (will probably make a few more). However, the Creator of the universe cares for you, as if you were the only one to care for. This is your truth today. It’s not just Christian talk. It’s not even water-downed Christianity. It’s the most furious, transformative and powerful reality:
God is love. God loves the world. God loves you!
Whether you acknowledge it or not, its air to your lungs. It’s life to your soul. God loves for you perfectly right now. And there is nothing you can do to change His mind.
[bctt tweet=”God is better at loving than we are at doubting.”]
It’s all you need to remember. Don’t complicate the Good News. Don’t doubt what is undoubtably confirmed by Scripture.
Stop punishing yourself. Stop believing the lies. Stop feeling ashamed. You are loved, received and forgiven. You are extremely valuable. Radically accepted.
Let that draw you into His embrace, and learn to stay there.
“Define yourself radically as one beloved by God. This is the true self. Every other identity is illusion.” -Brennan Manning in The Prodigal: A Ragamuffin Story.
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4-5
Father God. I want to experience the magnitude of your love. Show me today how deep and how wide and how real it is for me. I surrender my ideas of you and I align my heart to the truth. You love me, you forgive me, you transform me. I am yours, and you are mine. In Jesus name, amen.
Downloaded this song 3 days ago and I’ve been living with it on repeat. ‘Draw Me In’ was birthed out of a shared revelation of the beauty of the Lord and the way He is fundamentally a good Father. This song reflects themes of intimacy, love, trust and a good injection of joy, drawing from a mixture of musical influences. Hope Stroupe’s incredible and mesmerizing vocals cause this to be a hauntingly beautiful yet wonderfully vibrant anthem. Enjoy:
