Here is the official/un-official sequel to the Passion of the Christ.

It’s called Risen. It has a big movie budget, great actors, and the trailer looks pretty good.

The movie follows the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius, a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius, are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

The Resurrection is either one of the most wicked, heartless, vicious hoaxes ever or it is the most fantastic fact of history.
We celebrate because we get to live every other day. We are alive because He is alive. Christianity would literally be a joke without the Resurrection of Jesus. The fact that He is actually alive, in a glorified human body, declares that we too will live forever.
Andrew Murray said, “A dead Christ I must do everything for; a living Christ does everything for me.” Daily in His Presence

He is the risen King. The ultimate servant. Ruling against darkness. Manifesting His glorious Kingdom. And loving us in the throne of Grace.

Open you heart and breath in the life. It is already yours, fully and surely. Now you get to live out Easter Sunday every day until the end.

Excited for this film. Because even if they miss it completely, the conversation about it will be great.

The film stars Joseph Fiennes, Tom Felton, Peter Firth, and Cliff Curtis; and Columbia Pictures will release it on February 19, 2016.
